WesternLife

Connect with other students at Western Sydney University virtually and in person through WESTERNLife. Learn new things, connect with new friends, and engage with events or discussions that interest you.

MATES

MATES is a peer mentoring program for commencing and first year students.

MATES provides you with an opportunity to connect with other new students and mentors in later years of study. To help you develop social networks and skills to help you settle into life at university. MATES meetings take place face to face on campus and online via Zoom.  Register to Join MATES here.

English Conversation Groups

English Conversation Groups (ECG) are run by trained student volunteers in a fun and friendly environment.

ECG aims to assist international students and local students from a non-English speaking background to develop:

  • confidence in English conversation
  • a friendship network and cross-cultural understanding
  • knowledge of Australian slang and presentation skills
  • a greater understanding of the University

The program consists of five, weekly, one-hour sessions during Autumn and Spring sessions.

Talk Campus

TalkCampus is a free app where you can talk anonymously with other students about anything - fellow students from universities and colleges around the world who understand all the highs and lows of student life. It’s a safe and supportive environment, accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
