Parking at Western Sydney University

Western Sydney University has more than 7,000 parking spaces available, in a variety of bay types, across our Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Penrith and Parramatta South/North campuses.

Our carparks include:

accessible parking spaces
free motorcycle parking areas
free 15-minute short term bays
EV charging stations

The University operates under a restricted parking scheme. Please obey traffic signage and NSW Road Rules when driving on Western Sydney University roads. Fines may apply for non-compliance of the Western Sydney University Parking and Traffic Policy.

The beginning of each semester is always a busy period for transport to campus, particularly at Parramatta South, where parking is in high demand. We encourage you to use public transport, walk, or cycle where possible. Visit Our Campuses page to find out about the different ways you can get to uni.

EV Charging on Campus

Convenient, complimentary EV charging for staff and students

Staff and students with a valid parking permit can access complimentary EV charging at Hawkesbury, Kingswood, Parramatta South and Campbelltown campuses.

The University's CCS2 charging network, managed through the Exploren platform, provides reliable and easy-to-use charging while you're on campus.

USING THE EV CHARGING NETWORK

Available to staff and students with a valid Western Sydney University parking permit.
Access chargers via the Exploren app or a linked staff or student card.
All chargers use the CCS2 standard.
Vehicles with CHAdeMO connectors may require a compatible adaptor.

ACCESSING COMPLIMENTARY CHARGING

To access the EV charging network:

Complete the Expression of Interest form . Once your application has been approved, you will receive instructions to activate access in the Exploren app.
Download the Exploren App (App Store or Google Play)
Create an Exploren account using your Western Sydney University email address.
- Students: StudentNumber@student.westernsydney.edu.au
- Staff: StaffNumber@westernsydney.edu.au
Link your staff or student card within the Exploren app by following the in-app instructions.

Please note:

Private email accounts cannot be used to access complimentary charging.
Access must be approved before complimentary charging is available.

Your name and contact details, account information, vehicle and charging usage data, and (where applicable) transaction information.

To enable access to EV charging, manage and maintain the service, support operations and reporting, and improve performance and user experience.

Who we share it with:

Your information may be shared with Exploren (the platform provider) and authorised service providers supporting the EV charging infrastructure. All parties are required to handle your information in accordance with privacy and security requirements.

Important: Providing this information is required to use the EV charging service. If you do not provide it, you will not be able to access the platform. For more information see here.
