As an Academy member you will embark on a self-paced learning journey to enhance your employability and grow as an active Citizen Scholar.
Your knowledge and skills in Emergent Leadership, Thinking Modalities, Community Development, and Global Citizenship are deepened through bespoke learning activities and events, national and international conferences, study tours, masterclasses, internships, and mentoring.
The skills that you develop will support your learning in your base degree, provide you with a competitive edge in the job market, and shape your identity as an active Citizen Scholar who makes a meaningful impact on their community.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive the Citizen Scholar Award which will also be listed on your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS).

The Bachelor of Creative Leadership (BCL) focuses on the essential skills that employers are looking for beyond your disciplinary knowledge. This interdisciplinary degree enables you to leverage your employability by developing skills in leadership and ethics, critical and systems thinking, creativity and innovation, logic and argumentation, independent learning, and the creation of knowledge.
With innovation in its DNA, teaching involves guest talks from high-profile speakers and essays are replaced by practical assessments such as inaugural speeches, green and white papers, and elevator pitches. The subjects are delivered in intensive workshops.
This concurrent degree of eight subjects can be combined with any degree at Western and you can graduate with two degrees instead of one.
