Shuttle bus FAQs

Where can I find a timetable for the shuttle bus on my campus?

Buses do not run to a fixed timetable, but rather on a continuous loop. See route and schedule details at the top of this page.

What time does the shuttle bus start and finish each day?

The shuttle bus schedule lists the times the shuttle buses run. The commencing time is the time the first bus starts to drive the designated circuit at each campus. The latest time is the time it arrives back at the campus to finish for the day.

Does the shuttle bus arrive at each stop at a particular time?

No. To maximise the number of seats available to passengers each day, the shuttle buses travel in a continuous loop between the stops. Depending on traffic conditions and size of a campus route, it takes approximately 15-20 minutes for a bus to complete one loop. Please refer to the shuttle bus schedule above to locate the stops for each campus. To track a particular shuttle bus, please view the Shuttle Tracker (opens in a new window).

Who is allowed on a Western Sydney University shuttle bus?

The University shuttle bus service is only available to staff and students of the University. A University issued staff or student card will need to be showed to the driver to get on the bus.

If you are attending the University for a business related purposes and have not been issued a staff or student card, you may be granted special consideration to use the shuttle bus service. To seek special consideration please email shuttlebus@westernsydney.edu.au with the date, approximate time of travel and the reason you are attending the University.

Can a School or Division access a shuttle bus for events or excursions?

Yes. A School or Division can arrange a shuttle bus service for a particular event at a cost to the school or division, subject to availability. It should be noted there is very limited availability during core hours (8.00am to 5.00pm) of a session to access a bus. For a quote to be provided please complete the Shuttle Bus Service Request form.

Do you require mobility access?

Each campus has at least one bus for each route with wheelchair and mobility access. It is best to contact the Campus Safety and Security Office on 1300 737 003 before you travel so we can ensure a bus is available. Campus Safety and Security will request your name, student/staff ID number, a contact number/email and the time and location at which you wish to catch the shuttle.

We also request that if circumstances change and you are no longer intending to travel, please let us know by contacting the Campus Safety and Security Office where you had made the arrangements.
