Humanitarian Scholarships
Scholarships for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Western Sydney University has a long history of supporting talented and hardworking students from a refugee or asylum seeker background. Our Humanitarian scholarships aim to recognise those overcoming adversity and sometimes harrowing circumstances and provide them with the opportunity to access education.
Note: Below are the scholarships available that are dedicated only to refugees or asylum seekers. There are scholarships available in the High Potential and Equity categories that include holders of a humanitarian visa in the eligibility criteria.
Accepted Humanitarian Visa Classes
We recognise the special needs of Humanitarian Scholarship applicants and their families. You can find health, housing and employment support services for refugees and asylum seekers here.
Refugee
If you are the holder of a permanent humanitarian visa, you may be eligible for a Western Sydney University Refugee Scholarship, a High Potential Scholarship, or an Equity Scholarship. To ensure you are considered for all scholarships you may be eligible for, please submit one application through the Western Sydney University Scholarship Application Form, and one application through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) Equity Scholarships form.
The scholarships available will be continuously added to the table below over the coming months. By submitting an application form, you will be assessed for every scholarship released until the closing date.
