The following scholarships are offered externally to the University. It is recommended you go to the individual websites below to find out more information about the scholarship including application and eligibility requirements.

All Courses

Australian Government’s Creative Arts Scholarships

  • Scholarships are valued at up to $18,000 and supports flexible study arrangements (studying on campus, online or via distance education).
  • Applicants must:
    • Have commenced a course of study which falls within the Creative Arts Field of Education.
    • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, holder of a permanent humanitarian visa, or a New Zealand citizen living in Australia.
    • Have commenced the first year of your Eligible Course of Study in Semester 1, Semester 2 or Trimester 3 of 2021.
    • Have permanent home address in a regional or remote area as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).
    • Applicants must not have relocated to a major city more than 3 months prior to commencing their chosen course of study.

Defence University Sponsorship

  • The Defence University Sponsorship is the perfect way to make university life more manageable and provides you with the opportunity to make a difference in your degree.
  • The sponsorship is available to undergraduate or graduate students studying an accredited degree at any recognised university in Australia.
  • As a sponsored student you will receive a salary to study, your HELP and student fees covered from when sponsorship starts and many other benefits.

Gallipoli and Bill Hall Scholarships

  • The Gallipoli Scholarship aims to perpetuate among Australians an understanding of the traditions of perseverance, courage and self-sacrifice which were established so indelibly at Gallipoli and on other battlefields in World War I and World War ll.
  • The Scholarship provides financial assistance to the most deserving and meritorious Australian applicant(s), resident in New South Wales or the ACT, or commencing the first year of their first degree at a NSW or ACT university.
  • In assessing suitability for an award, a 60 percent weighting will apply to financial need and a 40 percent weighting to educational merit. The scholarship support does not extend beyond one year.
  • Valued at $5,000 tax free.

Graduate Women NSW

  • GW-NSW Inc is an association of women graduates from universities and institutes of higher education throughout the world.
  • They award scholarships, bursaries and awards to support education for women both locally and oversea.

Hoskins Lithgow Scholarship

  • The Hoskins Lithgow Scholarship was awarded for the first time in 2006. The scholarship award enables young Lithgow residents to achieve their full potential as did Charles Hoskins, a pioneer of the Australian steel industry.
  • Applicants must reside in the Lithgow LGA and be an Australian citizen under the age of 26 as at 1st July in the scholarship application year. The applicant must intend to undertake a tertiary course of study.
  • The scholarship is to fund the cost of a tertiary course of study to a maximum sum of $25,000. This amount is available to cover all compulsory fees, books, stationery and equipment, as well as accommodation, living and travel expenses incurred in connection with the course.

Lulus Scholarship

  • Lulus believes in supporting higher education for the next generation. We want students to have the opportunities provided by a good education, which is why we're excited to offer the Lulus Scholarship!
  • One scholarship winner will receive $1000 to put toward your pursuit of a degree, and a $500 Lulus shopping spree to help build a wardrobe that makes you look and feel like the confident babe you are!

Mindmybag Technical Scholarship

  • mindmybag is a Melbourne based business looking to encourage & support the next wave on entrepreneurs.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, college, or technical institution during the current academic year or have a confirmed enrolment in the next academic year
  • One student will be selected to receive $1,000 in scholarship funds based on their submission for 'delivering a technical MVP (minimum viable product)'

Mobility Tech Yearly Scholarship

  • Rolstoel is a leading provider of mobility options to help solve many pain points by providing lightweight, folding electric wheelchairs for a demographic looking to break away from bulky and heavy wheelchairs.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full or part-time majoring in marketing, management, engineering, communications, or biology at college or university in Canada, United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Promotion Products Scholarship

  • Promotion Products Pty. Ltd. has been a Brisbane-based market leader in the promotional marketing industry for over 14 years.   • The RAS Foundation Rural Scholarships are for students of any age across a diverse range of tertiary courses who are passionate about playing a part in shaping the future of rural and regional NSW.
  • Scholarships of $6,000 for full-time or $3,000 for part-time study are available.

Scholarships for Women: Empowering Future Female Leaders to Change the World

  • Toptal is awarding $10,000 and a year of mentorship to five future female leaders who want to change the world

SSI Allianz Refugee Scholarships

  • The SSI Allianz scholarships directly support people from refugee backgrounds to achieve independence. The scholarships have been created to minimise the financial barriers experienced by refugees as they participate in the NSW, QLD & VIC education system.
  • Applications close at 5pm on 29 October 2021. To be successful in their application for support, applicants must:
  • Be from a refugee background on a humanitarian visa. Visa Subclass 200, 201, 202, 203 and 204, 117, 866, 842. Applicants on a SHEV 790 or TPV 785 will be considered on a case by case basis

The Pinnacle Foundation Scholarship

  • The Pinnacle Foundation provides Scholarships for students between the ages of 17-26, who are planning to study full-time education at a public or private secondary school (final year) or public institution of higher education in Australia, for the purpose of gaining an educational or vocational qualification in any profession, trade or the arts.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate that because of their gender identity, sexual orientation or sexual characteristics they have been prevented or hindered from achieving their academic aspirations.

Vision Australia Further Education Bursary

  • Awarded to students from NSW, ACT or Victoria who are blind or vision impaired who, for financial reasons, may not be able to fully participate in further education, providing adaptive technology to assist their studies.

  • Also known as the Multidisciplinary Australian Danish Exchange, MADE is an extra-curricular program offered to Australian and Danish students of architecture, engineering and design (in the built environment) in their 2nd year of study or above.
  • Each year, five students from a NSW university and five students from a Danish tertiary institution will participate in the program in Denmark and Australia respectively.
  • Each student is provided with the equivalent of AU$6,000 to cover international airfares, accommodation and living expenses during their visit.

Webjet Australia Student Grant

  • Since we’re always looking to provide the best service, prices and experiences for our customers, we want to nurture the next generation of talent to help us achieve our goals. That’s why we’re now offering the Webjet Australia Student Grant.
  • Applications for the 2020-21 grant are open until October 31st 2021.
  • To be eligible, you must be enrolled full-time in an accredited Australian Tertiary Education Institution in the penultimate or final year of study and be studying for an undergraduate certificate, diploma or degree in any of the following areas:

Law Council of Australia

  • The Law Council represents the Australian legal profession on national and international issues, on federal law and the operation of federal courts and tribunals. It works for the improvement of the law and of the administration of justice.
  • They offer various scholarships that support younger lawyers.

Astor Legal Scholarship

  • The Astor Legal Scholarship was established in 2021 to encourage and support law students who are passionate about pursuing a career in the law, but may be suffering from financial hardship and/or come from a regional or remote area.

Providior Student Grant

  • The Providior Scholarship was established to encourage and support Australian students who excel in business, finance or law and are passionate about pursuing a career in legal funding, with an emphasis on new product and new market development.

What's My Claim Worth?

  • The What’s My Claim Worth team are passionate about supporting the next generation of Australian legal professionals. That’s why we offer an annual scholarship grant to promising students who are pursuing a career in law.
  • The selected candidate will receive a $5000 grant, plus the opportunity to clarify their goals and have their work critiqued by the experienced legal panel at What’s My Claim Worth. It’s our way of mentoring the emerging legal talent that will go on to help injured or financially distressed Australians, just as we do everyday.

Sydney Criminal Lawyers Criminal Law Scholarship

  • The Sydney Criminal Lawyers Criminal Law Scholarship was established in 2019 to encourage and support law students who are passionate about pursuing a career in criminal defence, with an emphasis on social justice.
  • Applicants must have Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency and enrolled in their penultimate or final year in an LL.B, Juris Doctor or Legal Practitioners Admission Board course, or undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, in New South Wales or the ACT.

Adaptify's Digital Marketing Scholarship Program

The Australian Property Research and Education Fund Ltd

  • For 2022, APREF is funding two scholarships to financially support study of a University API accredited degree, specialising in the valuation field.  These scholarships are open to prospective 2022 tertiary students, who are either currently studying Year 12  or are a mature aged applicant.  Applicants must reside in either Tasmania or rural/regional locations, with a scholarship awarded to one student from each location. The scholarship funding will be awarded for the duration of an API accredited property valuation degree.  Recipients will have access to senior property professionals who will act as a mentor, for varying periods, during their studies.

Future.Digital Scholarship

  • Local Digital is a performance focused digital marketing agency based in the Western Sydney region of Australia. We specialise in digital marketing via the SEO, PPC, Social Media channels as well as improving website conversion rates for our clients via our CRO offering and offering high converting web design and landing page services.
  • The recipient will receive a $2,500 cash prize to support their studies.

iCare Super Scholarship

  • iCare Super was established on 15 March 2012 by a group of SMSF specialists. Since its inception, it has become one of the major independent SMSF services providers in Australia.
  • The recipient will receive a $3,000 award.
  • The scholarship is available to students studying Accounting, Business or Finance.
  • Applications close 30 May each year and selection will be made by 30 June each year.

Jade Finance Scholarship

  • The Jade Finance Scholarship is open to applications from university students who are currently enrolled in and completed 1 year of study in a commerce, financial studies or business studies course at an accredited university.
  • Award: Up-to $5000 to support the winner’s academic expenses.
  • The award is open to both part-time and full-time students, undergraduate and post-graduate students who meet the selection criteria.

Museproject scholarship

  • In order to be considered for the Museproject scholarship, you need to write a 600 word essay about search engine optimisation or any other digital marketing specialty.

  • This national award gives students the chance to undertake three media internships including print and radio, along with a $10,000 scholarship to help ease the financial worry of higher education.   • LotsOfZen wishes to help students who are dedicated to pursuing their dream and help to improve the world of spirituality & meditation, therefore, we hold a $1099 merit-based scholarship once a year for students pursuing their passions.

Science and Innovation Awards

  • The Hon David Littleproud MP, Minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency Management, has launched the 2021 Award
  • The Science Awards encourage young scientists, researchers, innovators, farmers, fishers, foresters, extension officers, industry advisers and others actively engaged in the agriculture sector who have an original and innovative project that will contribute to the ongoing success and sustainability of Australia’s agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries.

2022 Aboriginal Environmental Health Scholarships

Applications are invited for the 2022 Aboriginal Environmental Health Scholarships (funded by NSW Health). These scholarships support Aboriginal people to complete an undergraduate degree (bachelor degree) in environmental health with the flexibility to study either full-time or part-time. Study an environmental health degree in 2022 and have your university subject fees paid. Successful scholarship recipients will receive:
  • $500 a year for student administration fees and other costs

  • flexibility to study full-time or part-time

Creative Biolabs Science Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Application Deadline: 30 September, 2021
  • Student must be enrolled as a freshman, undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. student at an accredited college or university and major in a science-related field such as Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Molecular Biology.

John Martyn Research Grant for the Conservation of Bushland

  • Applications for the John Martyn Research Grant for the Conservation of Bushland in Sydney are open.
  • A $2,500 one-off award is available.
  • Honours, masters and PhD students are encouraged to apply by 31 March 2020, with winners being announced 30 April 2020.
  • Your project must contribute to the knowledge that will assist the conservation of bushland in Sydney.
  • STEP is a community-based environmental organisation with members from Ku-ring-gai, Hornsby and surrounding suburbs. With the primary aim is to work for the conservation of bushland in northern Sydney.

  • The RSPCA is Australia’s most recognised and best-loved animal welfare organisation.
  • The grant, valued at $5,000, is offered annually to one person studying in the following areas: Veterinary Medicine,Veterinary Science, Veterinary & Life Sciences, Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing, Animal Studies, Animal Sciences, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Technology and any other courses leading to similar careers as an animal carer or pet health specialist.

BeMo Diversity Advocacy Scholarship

  • The BeMo Diversity Advocacy Scholarship has been designed by our team to alleviate some of the medical school application and tuition costs for your pre-medical and medical students.
  • The scholarship is recurring every Spring and fall, offering $5,000 to each awarded recipient.
  • The deadlines are May 31st and October 31st of each year.

Cyber Security Scholarships from SSL Trust

  • We at SSLTrust know that our future in a safe and secure IT world depends on students like you. Students who want to learn, test, modify and make computers, networks and the internet a safer and more secure world.

2022 Aboriginal Environmental Health Scholarships

Applications are invited for the 2022 Aboriginal Environmental Health Scholarships (funded by NSW Health). These scholarships support Aboriginal people to complete an undergraduate degree (bachelor degree) in environmental health with the flexibility to study either full-time or part-time. Study an environmental health degree in 2022 and have your university subject fees paid. Successful scholarship recipients will receive:
  • $500 a year for student administration fees and other costs
  • subject fees paid
  • flexibility to study full-time or part-time
  • ongoing scholarship funds (by annual application)
