David and Jennie Sutherland

David and Jennie Sutherland have worked for many decades in rural medicine in New South Wales, with David working as a general practitioner and Jennie as a registered nurse. Through their professional and philanthropic work, they are committed to addressing issues such as inclusive health and education, the environment, heritage and climate action. They recognise the critical importance of tertiary education and the impact that Western Sydney University has on the social communities it serves.

David and Jennie believe in equity and that all students deserve the chance to succeed, no matter their circumstances. As such, they are delighted to support a refugee student in their first year of a degree, and to help pave the way for future opportunities.
