Contract Management
Contracts
Procurement contracts should not be agreed to or signed without first engaging the Procurement Team. The Procurement Team will review your intended procurement activity, apply the appropriate procurement process in line with policy, perform all necessary due diligence, provide commercial advice and coordinate involvement from all stakeholders including SME's and the Office of General Counsel (OGC).
GIPA Legislation and the University's Contract Register
For all procurement contracts where the value is or exceeds $150K Inc GST, these must be added to the University's GIPA Contract Register. If you engage the Procurement Team from the start of your intended procurement activity, our team will have appropriate oversight of any related contracts and will ensure that the appropriate contract management actions are completed and add your contracts to the Contract Register on your behalf. For more information on the University's obligations under the GIPA legislation, visit the Contract Reporting page.
NSW Government Agreements
The NSW Government procurement schemes and agreements provide a streamlined approach for eligible buyers, including Western Sydney University, to access pre-qualified suppliers for goods and services. These schemes ensure value for money, efficiency, and compliance with procurement policies while supporting SMEs, Aboriginal businesses, and sustainable procurement initiatives. The benefits of the schemes and agreements include, a reduced administrative burden, competitive pricing, and access to a vetted supplier pool, making procurement processes more efficient and transparent. As an eligible buyer, the University can leverage these schemes to meet its operational and strategic needs. To learn more about how these agreements apply to your procurement activities, please contact your Procurement Business Partner.
