University Insurances

This page is intended to provide the University community with a general understanding of insurance policies that are in place and procedures to make claims under those policies.

The Office of Finance has the responsibility for placing University wide asset, liability, travel, vehicle and accident policies and processing insurance claims.

The University has an obligation to disclose every matter that is known, or could reasonably be expected to be known, that would be relevant to the insurers' decision whether to accept the risk, and if so, on what terms. Claims can be adversely affected should the University not comply with its duty of disclosure.

The various property and liability policies cover the University and declared subsidiaries and affiliated bodies.

All enquiries concerning workers compensation should be referred to Human Resources.
