Student Partnerships

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team values working collaboratively with students to co-create and co-design campaigns, resources, and events. Student leaders co-facilitate workshops and are key stakeholders in identifying themes and priority populations for continuing work. We strongly value our student partners, their insights, knowledge, learning, and wonderful leadership skills.

Our student partners include:

Burrow Design Studio – co-creating mental health and wellbeing campaigns and resources including Wishing You Well, #RE Campaign, Wellbeing Cafes,

Students on Placement – many students undertake a placement with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Team including Social Work Students, Recreational Therapy and Health Promotion Students. Placement students lead groups, and workshops, undertake training, co-create resources, and provide opportunities to support positive health and wellbeing across Western Sydney University and the broader community.

Wellbeing and Mental Health Champions – student volunteers who co-create campaigns, volunteer at events, and undertake training programs to promote positive wellbeing and health across Western Sydney University.

Student Facilitators – working in Cultural Wellbeing Groups, students co-facilitate groups, identify key themes and issues, create sustainability in group processes, and support positive wellbeing and health.

Western Success – gaining a unique insight into student needs, the Western Success student partners have co-created and co-designed resources including Wellbeing Plans

Thank you to all our fantastic student partners.
