1          K          soredewa(Japanese) uhmmm could you tell me um when you arrived in Aust uhm when you arrived at Australia?

2          T          um twenty-seven years ago

3          K          twenty-seven years ago um thank you uh in that case (laugh) how old were you (laugh) at the time?

4          T          twenty-eight

5          K          twenty-eight years old thank you very much ok so. you you stayed you have been here for twenty-seven year years so actually twenty-seven years and six months or you know how you remember?

6          T          twenty-seven years and umm two months

7          K          two months thank you. Yes did you learn English at um in Australia?

8          T          yes I did

9          K          yes you did ok how long did you learn English here?

10        T          how long?

12        T          uhmm I went to English courses maybe only um couple of years

13        K          couple of years ok let's say two years is that ok?

15        K          ok yes oh which language did you use at home?

16        T          uhm Japanese and English

19        K          oh which language did you did you learn at home as a child? when you are

25        K          English ok umm as for Japanese how do you you know maintain your Japanese you know skills here in Australia?

26        T          um reading books Japanese books reading Japanese newspapers or and a watching Japanese television

28        T          or talking to Japanese people

29        K          (Iaugh) ok yes thank you and actually currently what you what are you doing? what is your occupation?

30        T          uhmm housewife

31        K          a housewife ok how about you know your occupation in um what did you do in Japan?

32        T          well teaching English at junior high school

33        K          ok hai and um just I would like to know about your you know your family members in Japan your sisters do you have any brothers and sisters?

34        T          um three sisters

35        K          uh three sisters ok umm do they have where where do they live?

36        T          in Japan

37        K          in Japan yeah but which part of Japan?

38        T          one's in Tokushima

39        K          uh

40        T          other two sisters are in Gifu prefecture

41        K          ok and alright do you have any you know children here?

43        K          how many children do you have?

44        T          two daughters

45        K          two daughters oh very good you must be oh so gorgeous and what are they doing here?

46        T          uhm el eldest daughter is in Japan teaching English

48        T          at high school

49        K          alright does ok teaching English does she speak you know Japanese?

50        T          yes

51        K          ok how about does she can she speak you know umm et Germ Chinese maybe Chinese?

52        T          she has learn Chinese at high school maybe.. two years

53        K          ok she must be talented

54        T          she learn French

55        K          ok ok and how about you know how about your younger younger younger you know kid younger yeah younger kid?

58        T          she just finished uni last year and she lives in Sydney

65        K          oh good does she in actually lives in a the city in the you know flat ummm her her own house?

69        K          ok and by the way now I would like to know your you know your treasure what is your treasure?
