Donors' Prizes 2013

The Prizes program acknowledges our most dedicated and high achieving students. Through the donations the School has received, we are able to further encourage and inspire these students to continue to strive for excellence. We are grateful for the generous support of our prize donors, who share the School's commitment in recognising our students' excellence in learning.

Comfort Inn Hunts Liverpool Award in Tourism Management This prize is awarded to the most outstanding student in the Tourism Management unit,  enrolled in the Bachelor of Tourism Management. Zoe Willmott
Dani Gilroy Memorial Prize for Social Work Awarded to a final year student enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work program who has shown academic excellence (top 20 percent GPA), emerging wisdom and worldliness as demonstrated through field placement critical reflections. Recipients must be dedicated to social justice as demonstrated through field placement, academic work or broader community involvement and must have a positive attitude as demonstrated by a commitment to helping their peers and building community on campus. Emeritus Professor Jim McKnight Memorial Award in Psychology The recipient of the Emeritus Professor Jim McKnight Memorial Prize must have been enrolled in and completed the unit 100015 History and Philosophy of Psychology. The student must have been enrolled in a Psychology course or major.  The prize recipient will be selected based on the recommendation of Academic staff within the School of Psychology. The student must display an enrolment history of stark contrast and ingenuity, having studied a variety of units from differing disciplines and interest areas.  James

MCAE Commemorative Award This award recognises the graduating, non-honours student from the Bachelor of Social Work with the highest GPA.  Rhonda Oetsch
Michael Cusack Memorial Award for Human Rights, Human Services and the Law This prize is awarded to the most outstanding student enrolled in the Bachelor of Community Welfare, Child and Community Major and undertaking the subject Human Rights, Human Services and the Law. Amy Hay
Planning Institute of Australia (NSW Division) Prize The Planning Institute of Australia (NSW Division) Prize will be awarded to the student with the highest overall achievement (accumulative of all three years) at the end of the Bachelor of Social Science (Pathway to Master of Urban Management and Planning).  Melissa Piccinin
SMSA Award in Social Science Recognising academic excellence in a graduating student in a Social Science related degree. Ingrid Haralovic
The Honourable Helen Sham-Ho Award for Social Work The Honourable Helen Sham-Ho Prize is awarded to the highest performing student in the Bachelor of Social Work (Honours), based on GPA. Wayne Ardley
