Our laser cutting service is completely customised to your idea, so whatever you can draw, we can cut! Lasercutting and engraving is commonly used for the signage industry, for making customised, accurate parts with a fast production time. Common materials include interior plywood, Acrylic sheet, leather, paper and cardboard. Our standard laser bed size is 1016x711mm .
For laser cutting and engraving you will need to send a vector file. Vector file formats – AI, EPS, SVG, DXF, DWG or sometimes PDF. Your file can be setup to be etched, cut and scored. We have provided Illustrator template for lasercutting files around the size of our laser bed . Due to WHS concerns, there are limits on what we can cut which is covered in our lasercutting FAQ document.
For metal, stone and thick parts, we often use the waterjet to profile cut shapes that cannot be lasercut. The Waterjet cutter uses abrasive garnet mixed with water in a high pressure stream to cut through thick materials leaving a sandblasted edge.
