How to influence change in your community
Social policy aims to improve the safety, wellbeing and welfare of citizens and can dramatically impact our lives and communities.
If we want change, we need advocates of change. Social Policy makers and activists that can create a paradigm shift, and influence government priorities.
So if you really want to make a difference in your community, here’s your chance – through developing policy that will enact change.
In this workshop, Western Sydney Community Forum’s Tom Nance, will take you through the policy landscape and how it relates to social outcomes. You’ll explore the practical aspects of developing a compelling submission to government, and how YOU can influence the policy process.
You’ll also have the chance to put your knowledge into practice and develop recommendations around a current and real social issue.
