Charter and Committee
Charter
The primary purpose of the Office of Audit and Assurance is to provide comprehensive, value-added internal audit, assurance and investigation services to management, encompassing all activities of the University and its related entities.
Our WSU Internal Audit Charter 2025 establishes the independence of the Internal Audit function and defines the authority conferred to it by the Western Sydney University Board of Trustees.
Committee
The Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) is a standing committee of the Western Sydney University Board of Trustees. It is responsible to the Board for monitoring the adequacy of internal control systems and review processes and for providing a policy framework for effective and independent audit and risk management functions for Western Sydney University and its related entities.
Its membership is appointed on a biennial basis by the Board of Trustees and consists of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members all of whom are external to (i.e. non-employees of the University). The Chair is appointed by the Board of Trustees.
