Employment outcomes promising for WSU graduates

Associate Professor Catherine Attard shares her experience in writing the Graduate Certificate in Primary Mathematics Education in the "Teaching Innovation Adds Up" video. Writing new content and learning how to present online in an engaging and blended approach presented a challenge. 

The flexibility of teaching online was also an eye opener for Associate Professor Attard, "Teaching online gives you a little bit more flexibility. I've actually found that mix of synchronous and asynchronous has been much more professionally satisfying for me" .

There is a range of support available to staff here at Western who are looking to further develop their courses with blended components. Blended Learning Advisors and Designers (BLADES) are available in each School to support in the learning design of courses. Curriculum Advisors are also on hand to support Schools in achieving high quality, innovative course design and curriculum development and implementation that enables and supports student success.
