Ethical Urbanism
Through immersive (AR/VR) technologies and field-based learning, you will experience urban change and apply the principles of sustainable urban development to our changing city. Together we ask: how can we build a future city that is open to our different desires and needs? How do our neighbourhoods articulate with wider visions of urban sustainability and inclusion while keeping in mind the economic needs of a growing city? What does it mean to be a green city? How do we produce a more ethical urbanism?
This Curiosity Pod will give you a chance to:
- analyse Australian urban environments and their relationship to urban processes;
- critically evaluate debates concerning sustainable urban development; and
- demonstrate appropriate use of a range of technologies relevant to the study of cities, including relevant technology-enabled learning tools.
This Curiosity Pod is embedded in the subject HUMN 1008 Cities: Introduction to Urban Studies.
Starts 4 April 2022 | Enrol here.
