What is a 21C Curiosity Pod?
Curiosity Pods (typically 15 to 30 hours of student learning effort) are one kind of micro-credential offered at the university. They’re designed as bite sized learning available to all students regardless of the course they are enrolled in.
- Have no pre-requisites beyond those expected for university study;
- Are co-created with industry, community and student partners; and
- Engage students in exciting, relevant, and authentic learning.
When you successfully complete a Curiosity Pod, you are provided with a record of your achievement – for example, a digital badge containing details of the learning activity – which can be added to your LinkedIn Profile.
Typically, Curiosity Pods can also be counted as a learning activity in a designated unit, where they support students to achieve the learning outcomes of that unit.
The University aims to offer a suite of Curiosity Pods each session. Below are those on offer in AUT 2023. Click on the image to auto-enrol in the Curiosity Pod vUWS site.
