Western Sydney University has a number of partners and offers a range of education pathways into a University degree. Partners include third party providers, who deliver content on behalf of the University, and pathway partners. Pathway agreements can be with TAFE, private colleges and other tertiary institutes (domestic and international) that include guaranteed admission and/or credit for previous studies.
Executive Committee approved the draft Academic Pathways Framework for the management of partnerships and pathways.
The framework covers the lifecycle of domestic and international partnerships and/or pathways from initiation, assessment, approval, implementation and review through to renewal or cancelation. The framework is aimed at ensuring that the University meets the obligations of the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF) and the requirements of the Commercial Activities Guidelines, which are of particular importance in cases that involve international partnership and the establishment of an offshore presence.
