What is Western You?
Western You is a student experience community involving thousands of students from a diverse range of backgrounds across all our campuses.
The community was established in 2018 and is one of the largest student communities in Australia.
Western You enables WSU students to provide feedback, share ideas through surveys, focus groups and other activities. Our goal is to empower our students to have a voice in transforming WSU. “Western You” was named by students for students.

Have your voice heard
Western You is a unique opportunity to be part of an empowered group of students. We’ve only introduced the community in August 2018 to allow you to have your voice heard. While other feedback tools and student programs exist this will be the first time Western Sydney University forms a large scale student centered community with the voice to drive transformation and change.
Connect with peers and share your ideas and innovations
Once you’ve registered you’ll be able to connect with like-minded students, participate in forums and share your thoughts on key discussion points and ideas.

How it Works
Being part of Western You is easy.
1. Register
To register all you need is your Student ID number. You’ll then be able to log in to Western You using your student login.
2. Complete Online Activities and Surveys
There are up to four surveys that take approximately 15 minutes to complete and you will be invited to participate in four additional activities across the second half of this year.
3. Respond to exclusive invitations
Western You members will receive invitations to exclusive events, workshops and other online and on-campus perks. Additionally, depending on your participation you may be invited to exclusive co-creation sessions where we will focus on core topics and work together to create new experiences.
4. Share your thoughts, ideas
Through our open forums and key discussion topics you’ll have the opportunity to voice your ideas and discuss topics that are the core of your experience. There will also be provisions for you to provide open and honest feedback and complete mini polls to help us work together to improve our university.
5. Watch our university transform
After each activity we will provide you with the results and plan of action to make changes driven by your feedback. This may also include asking you additional questions to get a better understanding before implementing changes or requesting your participation in polls to form collective decisions.
6. Win rewards and prizes
We believe that being in Western You and making a difference to our university is rewarding in itself. We also want to encourage active participating so you will have the opportunity to win great rewards and prizes.

FAQs
How do I join the Community?
Joining the community is easy, all you need is your student ID number and university login details. Once you’ve logged in you’ll have access to create a profile and start participating in surveys. Register Now (opens in a new window)
How much time do I need to commit to being in Western You?
We understand how busy your life is as a student so we’ve designed Western You with this in mind. There are approximately four online surveys per calendar year that you can choose to participate in that take 15 minutes each to complete. You will also have the opportunity to be invited to targeted activities and you can also respond to quick mini polls and discussions in open forums.
Will I get rewarded for my time?
Yes, there is the intangible benefit of improving your university experience and seeing the positive impact you’ve made on the Western Sydney University community and also a range of great rewards and prizes you can win.
What outcomes will I see from my feedback?
At the end of an activity or survey period we will provide you with the results and insights into the plan(s) outlining the next step to implement your feedback. This may also present an opportunity for us to ask you additional questions to understand more about a certain experience, or invite you to contribute to ideas for improvements to help us make collective decisions.
