Introduction to the NSW Planning Portal

The Centre for Smart Modern Construction (c4SMC) successfully hosted an engaging presentation on the “Introduction to the NSW Planning Portal” at Western Sydney University’s Parramatta City Campus on 30 September 2024. This event was held in collaboration with the NSW Chapter of the Australian Institute of Building (AIB), the Building Commission NSW, and was sponsored by Coronation Property.

The session provided valuable insights and practical tips for Western Sydney University Master’s, Bachelor’s and PhD students on navigating the NSW Planning Portal, equipping them to be industry-ready throughout their studies and upon graduation. This collaborative engagement between industry and academia fostered an enriching exchange of knowledge, highlighting the latest developments in the NSW Planning Portal and promoting a more compliant built environment in NSW.

The speakers included David Cremona FAIB (President, AIB NSW Chapter, and Group General Manager, Coronation Property), Vanessa Carmody-Smith (Director, Industry Customer Capability and Engagement, Building Commission NSW), Baljit Ramgadia (Project Officer, Building Commission NSW), Harvey Helou (Development Manager, Coronation Property), and Ibrahim Karim (Senior Project Engineer, Coronation Property).
