Welcome to the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning Futures).

Professor Simon Barrie is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning Futures) within the Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and provides senior level leadership of the University’s teaching and learning agenda. He contributes to the governance of the University as a member of the University Executive (opens in a new window), and of Academic Senate (opens in a new window) and its Standing Committees (opens in a new window).

The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning Futures) is responsible for leadership of strategic educational innovation and collaboration to shape the University's commitment to ensuring its students fulfil their potential to become influential global citizen-scholars in a new technology-enabled world. Simon drives that work though his stewardship of the teams in his portfolio and his leadership of both the University’s 21C curriculum project and its Education initiatives for the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
