2022 BADUGULANG TEACHING AND LEARNING SHOWCASE
The Future is Now: Teaching and Learning Innovation and Success
Come and engage with the extraordinary and exemplary work being done across Western.
The showcase features keynote presentations from Sustainability aligned with our THE #1 World ranking for WSU’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, University of Melbourne presenting research into peer review, scholarly insights and findings to enhance teaching practice and student learning experience and Dr Jenna Condie - Western’s 2021 Vice Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award Winner.
There will also be three parallel streams to further showcase the excellent work in the areas of Peer Review and Mentoring, Educational Partnerships, and Teaching Innovation.

Research Week - 2022
Unlocking Possibilities: Higher Education Research and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
The Badugulang Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Advisory Group members will facilitate this interactive and informative workshop to introduce participants to current scholarship work across Western and facilitate staff to join existing or undertake strategic Teaching and Learning projects. The session will include personal accounts of SoTL research and the chance to engage with current projects under the Badugulang Research Grants Program, including discussing processes and outcomes and the importance of SoTL research for career progression.

Badugulang and Learning Futures are offering grants between $2,000 and $10,000 to support staff who wish to engage in SoTL at Western.

2021 Learning Futures and Sydney City Campus Showcase
“The Evolution of Higher Education at the technological nexus of teachers, students, employers and society.”
Learning Futures and Sydney City Campus hosted the 2021 Showcase which recognised teaching innovation at Western.
Attendees representing all Western Schools, Units and Divisions engaged in discussions covering themes such as Indigenous Education @ Western, Innovating Alternative Credentials (iAC), HyFlex, Alternative Assessments and Digital Transformation. The showcase provided an exciting opportunity to be inspired and reflect on teaching practices as we wrap up 2021 and prepare to launch in 2022!
