Who We Are
The Compliance Program Unit is a dedicated accountability and assurance oversight unit within the Office of the Legal, Governance, Compliance, and Integrity, and is located within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President.

What We Do
Management of the Compliance Framework (opens in a new window) which encompasses:
Regulatory compliance (opens in a new window)
Managing the activities to enable and assure that accountable operational units are complying with the applicable NSW and Commonwealth laws that govern the University.
This includes Privacy compliance , and GIPA compliance.
The Privacy and GIPA Officer reports into the Compliance Program Unit. This role enables and assures that the University and its controlled entities’ operational units are complying with Cth and NSW privacy legislation, and the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 NSW (GIPA Act).
Integrity reporting (opens in a new window)
Overseeing the reporting of declared conflicts of interest, and gifts and benefits of those representing the University and its business.
Legal and Compliance Training (opens in a new window)
Facilitating training and awareness of topics in a legal and regulatory context that are beneficial to staff and operations.
Annual Modern Slavery Statement submission (opens in a new window)
Ensuring the annual Modern Slavery Statement addresses all key criteria and is uploaded to the Government Portal by the due date.
The Compliance Framework also applies to The College, and its staff.

The Team
Keira Hamilton is the Director of the Compliance Program Unit, based at Parramatta South campus.
Keira holds a Double Degree in Media and Law (BMedia / LLB), and a Graduate Certificate in Compliance and Risk Management (10184NAT). She is also an appointed NSW Justice of the Peace (JP), and a continuing member of the Governance Risk and Compliance Institute.
