Western Sydney University vs UOW Sports Clash

On Friday April 22, students from Western Sydney University and the University of Wollongong (UOW) will fight it out for bragging rights at the second annual Intervarsity Sports Clash. The event is organised by Western's Sport Services Officer in conjunction with the UOW Recreation and Aquatic Centre. The official launch of the 2016 Eastern University Games to be held in July at Wollongong will also take place during the clash. The event will host around 300 students who'll compete in a number of sports including soccer, basketball, netball, hockey, oztag, touch football and volleyball.

Mr Brendan Hoey, Western Sydney University's Sport Services Officer, said that the day was designed to help strengthen sporting ties between the two universities and added that sport is a wonderful opportunity for students to let off some steam and make new friends.
