20 Elite Athletes to represent Western Sydney University at Australian University Games

Western Sydney University will be sending a team of 270 students to the Australian University Games on the Gold Coast from September 26th- October 2nd. Among the team are 20 elite athletes who have represented on the national and international stage.

World Cup Touch Football players, Danielle Davis and Nicholas Good and World University Games 200m sprinter, Ben Jaworski are all participating in the games. Sports Services Officer, Brendan Hoey said " We have a number of world class athletes taking the stage for Western Sydney University this year. We're expecting to be bringing home a number of gold medals".

World Cup Touch Football player and Women's touch football team member, Danielle Davis said she's looking forward to representing the university in a more social setting. "I can't wait to enjoy the time representing Western Sydney University whilst still competing with the fantastic group of girls in the team. It's going to be so much fun!"

Elite Athletes are given the opportunity to study and continue playing sport through participating in the Elite Athlete program which offers scholarships and special consideration to top performing athletes at the University.
