As part of the Library Study Smart service, you can access free online help when you need it most with StudyCoach. StudyCoach is delivered by Studiosity (formerly YourTutor). From 31st August 2017 you may notice a transition from the name 'YourTutor' to 'StudyCoach' and 'Studiosity', but it's still the same fantastic service!
With StudyCoach, you can get online help with academic skills such as writing, research, assignment planning and support, as well as fundamental maths, stats, business, sciences and economics. Assignment support is offered for all subjects.
The online coaches are highly experienced specialists in their field, and must pass stringent testing before they are able to help students.
How do I access StudyCoach?
Accessing StudyCoach is easy – just log in to vUWS (opens in a new window) using your normal WesternAccount details (your student ID number and password).
During the transition phase, the link name may change so look for either 'StudyCoach' or 'YourTutor' in the left hand menu on any unit vUWS site.
How does it work?
There are two ways to use the StudyCoach service:
'Writing Feedback' service
Drop off a file anytime (24/7) and collect constructive literacy, structure, and grammar help within 24 hours. Visit the Studiosity Writing Feedback FAQs (opens in a new window) for your questions answered, including how to calculate the number of minutes you'll use.
'Connect Live' service
Chat one-on-one with online coaches who can answer your assignment questions immediately, available Sunday to Friday from 3pm to midnight. Visit the Studiosity Live Tutoring Help FAQs (opens in a new window) for your questions answered.
