Description
Come join us WSU Dog Cafe Campbelltown on Tuesday November 5 from 1130am to 1pm outside Building 16. WSU Dog Café is an exciting new program for Western Sydney University students and staff. Once per month therapy dogs and their handlers attend a university campus where people can sit and relax in a quiet place with a dog. Sharing part of your day with a dog has been shown to provide physical, psychological, and emotional benefits. Researchers from the School of Health Science, Nicole Peel, Dr Nerida Klupp and Dr Caterina Tannous founded the Dog Café program due to their interests in student wellness and dog-human interaction. WSUDogCafé events run for 1.5 hours and are a fun way to de-stress on campus by spending time in the company of several therapy dogs. WSUDogCafé is coordinated by the Western Sydney University Counselling Team and supported by Wellbeing services and Campus Life.
