Through a visual journey, you will travel with astronomer Dr Lee Spitler on an observing trip to the remote 6.5-metre Baade Magellan Telescope. In the still Chilean night, you will collect astronomical data to hunt for galaxies billions of light years away from Earth. Learn about the trials and tribulations of a professional astronomer. The evening will also include a 3D astronomy movie, a tour of the dome area and an opportunity to view the night sky through the observatory's telescopes.
