This event will engage with core areas of contention within national debate in relation to the ratification of a Treaty with Australia’s First People’s. The international keynote speaker, Prof Ken Coates, will discuss the Canadian example, particularly those areas seen as central to the processes of ratification, including resource extraction, regional economic development, social innovation and redistributive measures for equality, recognition and representational justice.
