Waste and Recycling 2021
Ten year trend (2011 TO 2021)
From 2011 to 2021, overall waste generation decreased by 63%, materials sent to landfill decreased by 96% and separation and diversion (recycling) of materials away from landfill increased by 47%. Less waste was generated in 2021 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting temporary campus closures during lockdown.
