Types of appointment
We offer different appointment types to meet different needs, depending on where you are at in your AT journey. First step is to decide on which appointment type you need - a consultation or individual support session. You may have been guided to book for a particular type already, if not, we suggest you start with a consultation.
What happens in an AT Consultation?
During your initial consultation we will establish your AT needs, and work out the next steps for you, whether that be self-paced online learning or an Individual Support Session to work through the AT software with us. All students at Western are able to book in for an AT Consultation, held via phone or Zoom.
What happens in an Individual Support Session?
During an Individual Support Session we can further assist you with configuring your technologies to better meet your needs and provide you with personalised training and support with your assigned AT. Individual Support Sessions are only available to students registered with the Disability Service.
We have 1 hour, and 1.5 hour sessions available, depending on your needs. All sessions are held on Zoom.
In some circumstances face-to-face appointments on campus may be required and will be available to students registered with the Disability Service. Face-to-face appointment requests need to be sent to the AT Service on atspecialist@westernsydney.edu.au and outline the reason for the request. These will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
