Dialysis Australia

Dialysis Australia is a respected and experienced provider of home-based-dialysis services. Established on the principle of Care with Compassion and Commitment, Dialysis Australia is an enabler of in-home dialysis care, and shifting the landscape for patients and their families living with kidney disease by providing life-prolonging treatment in the comfort and convenience of their own home. Such treatment provides patients with benefits such as one on one care and choice in treatment times, improving overall quality of life, alleviating the stress associated with numerous hospital visits per week, improving morbidity/mortality and the ability to return to work.

As proud students who were raised and educated in south-western Sydney, the co-founders of Dialysis Australia have successfully pioneered the assisted home dialysis model of care on the back of dedication, perseverance and vision to challenge the status quo of hospital-administered dialysis care.

The success of this model of care has enabled Dialysis Australia to give back to the community by providing support and opportunities for Western Sydney University Nursing students in their tertiary studies and career development.

Application and Selection Process

This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, ability to meet the criteria, and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
