Fulbright Scholarships
Information for USA citizens wishing to undertake their Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship at Western Sydney University
The Fulbright Program is aimed at increasing bi-national research collaboration, cultural understanding and the exchange of ideas.
Eligibility
The Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship funded by Western Sydney University is open to USA citizens who have recently completed their undergraduate studies and who are seeking an opportunity to undertake 8-10 months of study and research in an area of focus at Western Sydney University.
Applying
Prospective applicants should first read the information for US Applicants.
If you wish to undertake your Fulbright at Western, you should then contact the Associate Dean of Research in the relevant School to discuss a potential Supervisor. So that you can be directed to suitable academics, please provide the following:
- as much detail as possible about your area(s) of interest
- a copy of your transcript
- your CV
- a description of the study and research you would like to undertake if your scholarship application is successful.
Please note, the Fulbright Scholarship does NOT cover the cost of tuition fees.
When you identify a suitable Supervisor, discuss the arrangements for your Scholarship term (i.e. what you will do, what support the School will provide, etc.) and include the details in the Letter of Support that is submitted with your Scholarship application.
