Anne and Bill Mackarell
We have long held the view that gaining a quality education is a key factor in achieving optimum personal development and in building a successful life. We both have been the beneficiaries of an effective education and want to ensure that the opportunities afforded us can be available to everyone, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged. Early childhood education is an important platform in the overall education umbrella, but is particularly critical for those who are disadvantaged. Fundamental to the provision of early childhood education is the supply of qualified and dedicated teachers and we see this scholarship as one way to help meet these needs.
