Gender and Inclusion Conference Series

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research, Enterprise and International) is delighted to host the 2023 Gender and Inclusion Conference Series.

This series of events includes training, mentoring and networking opportunities focusing on gender equity and inclusion.

As part of our commitment, we offer the following researcher development sessions and events throughout 2023.

Speed Mentoring in partnership with NAB Women Leaders

This online session is open to all staff who identify as women.

The speed mentoring format will allow mentees multiple discussions on career opportunities and challenges with women leaders from our University partner, NAB.

The event follows on from the success of our 2022 mentoring session offering the opportunity to explore:

Pivotal Career Moments

What were the pivotal moments in your career? How did you maximise these? What actions have impacted your ability to achieve success and what did you decide to leave behind?

Articulating your value

How do you articulate your value well? What phrases work? What phrases should be avoided?

Speak up

Have you ever a noticed a moment in your career where you felt you should speak up? What emotions did you notice? How have you managed your emotions in that moment? Were you able to challenge the situation productively?
