Dr Elisabeth Duursma

Elisabeth received her doctorate in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (U.S.). Her research focuses on parenting and child development, with a specific focus on father involvement and child language and literacy development. She is currently working on a project looking at maintaining father-child relationships using video-visitation in Australian prisons. Elisabeth also has done extensive research on father-child book reading and is an active member of the Australian Fatherhood Research Consortium (AFRC) which brings together Australian researchers examining father involvement. In her role as Research Theme Fellow, she is currently working at the TeEACH Research Centre (Transforming early Education and Child Health).
