Biography

Sithum Munasinghe is a Post-Doctoral Associate Research Fellow in Health Data Analytics working as part of an interdisciplinary team spanning the School of Computer, Data, and Mathematical Sciences, the Translational Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University, and Western Sydney Primary Health Network, Australia. He has over six years of research experience in epidemiology and public health, expertise in data analytics and statistical modelling, and extensive experience in working with a range of large administrative linked datasets.

Sithum has an emerging track record in improving mental health care and suicide prevention services to improve mental health outcomes and reduce self-harm and suicide, and also with research interests in intensive care research in low and middle-income countries and the development of risk prediction tools to predict adverse health outcomes.
