Biography
Tanya Meade is a Professor of Clinical Psychology and a Head of Discipline, Psychology. She also holds a role of a Director of Clinical and Health Psychology Research Initiative (CaHPRI) in the School of Social Sciences and Psychology.
Professor Meade is an experienced researcher who received a PhD from the University of Sydney in the area of clinical health psychology (biopsychological aspects of rheumatoid arthritis) and is an Honorary Professor at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney.
A clinical and health psychologist, Professor Meade's research interests are in complex physical and mental health co-morbidities: pain and depression in chronic conditions, depression and cognitive function in older adults, women's health, bipolar and complex presentations and assessment of deliberate self-harm. Professor Meade has collaborated on competitive research grants (ARC Linkage, BeyondBlue) with industry partners and national and international collaborators.
