Biography

Dr Paul Saunders is a Biripi man with connections to the Kamilaroi nation also. Paul is a local Western Sydney Aboriginal man who holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Public Health (MPH), and is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Education, all of which are through Western Sydney University. Paul has experience in clinical medicine, medical devices, and Aboriginal health research, including research project management. His research experience is broad, encompassing clinical and social health research, primarily relating to surgical prosthesis efficacy and Indigenous models of healthcare.
