Western Sydney University - Malaysian Australian Alumni Council Undergraduate Scholarship

Application and selection process

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  •  be applying to study in a CRICOS registered undergraduate coursework degrees with a minimum one year and up to a maximum three year duration. 
  •  commence a new program of study in 2024 for the first time
  •  be an international student and a Malaysian citizen.
  •  Not an Australian or New Zealand permanent resident. If you visa status changes to one of these during the study period, the scholarship will discontinue.
  • satisfy all other admission requirements and accept the admission offer.

 

Applicants are not eligible if they:

  • are a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or hold permanent residency in Australia.
  • are a study abroad or exchange student coming to the University.
  •  are currently enrolled in one of the eligible programs.
  • do not commence study in the session and year indicated in their offer. Commencement may not be deferred.
  • are applying to study a postgraduate program that is less than one year duration
  • have been granted more than 160 credit points advanced standing (Note: In the event of 160 credit points of advanced standing, the scholarships will apply to the reduced duration of the program after the advanced standing has been applied and will not exceed the annual value of the scholarship in any one year of full-time study
  •  study less than 80 credit points to complete the program.
  • are applying to study a program located at Sydney City Campus.
  •  have been awarded another scholarship by the University or another organisation that covers the cost of the tuition fees (fully or partially) to study at Western Sydney University.

Eligible Programs

All CRICOS registered undergraduate degrees excluding Doctor of Medicine, Master of Research and Higher Degree Research programs.

Benefits

All successful applicants will receive a scholarship valued at $6,000 per annum, subject to meeting scholarship’s terms and conditions.

The scholarship is a tuition fee waiver and does not cover costs associated with living expenses, accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover or other costs associated with study.

Application period

Scholarship application must be submitted through the MACC Scholarship website by the deadline as stated below:

Autumn 2024 intake: 30 November 2023

Spring 2024 intake: 29 February 2024
