Advance human health
The Bachelor of Paramedicine has a strong evidence-based focus and uses innovative blended learning and assessment strategies, together with clinical placements, to develop high-level, practical and clinical decision-making skills.
You will be learning in our innovative teaching facility, including simulation rooms, debrief rooms, and an immersive simulation lab with control room.
In second and third year, you’ll be given three months of supervised clinical experience with an emergency ambulance service in rural or metropolitan NSW or the ACT. You’ll also have a chance to take up an international clinical placement, or short placements in the private paramedicine industry, mental health services, and community and primary healthcare.
This program prepares you for out-of-hospital care to patients of all ages, dealing with health complaints that range from minor to critical.
Professional accreditation
The Bachelor of Paramedicine has been granted the status of an ‘approved course’ by the Paramedicine Board of Australia.

Paramedic
Paramedics play an integral role in the health system, responding to acute and sub-acute health problems in a range of diverse and uncontrolled settings. Graduates employed by state-based ambulance services can undertake further study in specialist paramedic roles.

Paramedic Educator
Paramedicine teaching careers usually involve gaining an academic post in a university, but practising paramedics also commonly teach as part of their work. You may be involved in the education of paramedicine students or the training of new graduate paramedics.

Academia
University Lecturers and Tutors prepare and deliver lectures and conduct tutorials in one or more subjects within a prescribed program of study at a university and conduct research in a particular field of knowledge.

Policy Development
Policy development involves researching, compiling and analysing a range of facts that relate to the benefit of society. It involves working with a range of government agencies and community groups to pinpoint relevant solutions.

Immersive space

*The tuition fees quoted above are the fees for the normal full-time study load of the program (80 credit points) per annum, unless the total duration of the program is less than 80CP. International students will be subject to a variable fee regime; i.e. enrolled students will be required to pay fees during their program based on the approved fee for each calendar year. Students who extend their program past the normal finish date of the program will be required to pay additional fees based on the prevailing fee level.
