Schools Review

The Provost, Professor Kevin Dunn is leading a review of the schools which will focus on positioning the schools of WSU, to better support the needs & aspirations of staff and students and meet the targets of our new Strategic Plan.

Professor Dunn will be supported by an Advisory panel, comprising of:

  • Mr Angelo Kourtis, Senior Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer
  • Professor Maryanne Dever, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education
  • Professor Sarah Lewis, Dean, School of Health Sciences
  • Professor Michele Simons, Dean, School of Education
  • Professor Kate Stevens, MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development
  • Professor Robert Mailhammer, Chair of Academic Senate
  • Mrs Lauren Marsh, School Manager, School of Social Sciences
  • Professor Susan Page, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Education

Our Guiding Principles

Whilst we undertake a review of the schools, our work will follow these three key principles:

  1. Re-allocation, not reduction
  2. No pre-conceived outcomes - though we will explore different options
  3. Open and consultative process

Throughout the coming weeks, there will be various opportunities for you to get involved and have your say, including school and divisional town halls, focus groups, and surveys.
