Professional accreditation

The Bachelor of Psychological Studies (Honours) is an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited Honours fourth year for any prospective candidate who has completed an accredited three-year undergraduate Psychology course at Western Sydney University in the last 10 years.

With further study, you can practice as a provisionally registered psychologist at the Western Sydney Post Graduate Led Psychology Clinics.

The Bachelor of Psychological Studies (Honours) is an APAC-accredited Honours fourth year for any prospective candidate who has completed (or is currently completing) an accredited three-year undergraduate Psychology course at Western Sydney University in the last 10 years. Undergraduate degrees are as follows:

This degree is not open to applicants who completed their accredited psychology degree at an institution other than Western Sydney University. In addition, students must have obtained an Average Admission Mark of 70+ in the Western Sydney University grading system in Level 2 and 3 units with a majority of Credit or higher grades in Level 2 and 3 psychology units.

Entry into this Honours program is restricted by supervisory capacity. Limited places are available in this course and meeting the admission criteria does not guarantee entry. Eligible students are selected in order of merit based on their Average Admission Mark in Level 2 and 3 units. There is no provision for deferring an offer of a place.

*The tuition fees quoted above are the fees for the normal full-time study load of the course (80 credit points) per annum. International students will be subject to a variable fee regime; i.e. enrolled students will be required to pay fees during their course based on the approved fee for each calendar year. Fee changes (if any) will occur at 1 January each calendar year. Students who extend their course past the normal finish date of the course will be required to pay additional fees based on the prevailing fee level. Western Sydney University is a multi-campus institution. The University reserves the right to alter the location of its courses between campuses and other locations as necessary. Students should be aware of the possibility of change of location for the whole or part of courses for which they enrol and should plan for the need to travel between Western Sydney campuses.
