Dr Michael Falk

Dr Michael Falk (Click to view Western Sydney University Profile) is currently Community Technical Adviser at the Heurist Network (University of Sydney). In this role, he assists academics around the world to manage their data using Heurist, a mature web-based databasing platform for the Humanities. He was formerly Developer and Research Project Manager in the Digital Humanities Research Group at WSU, before departing for the UK to take up a position as Lecturer in Eighteenth-Century Literature at the University of Kent.

Dr Falk is remains highly active in the Digital Humanities Research Initiative at Western Sydney University. He contributes to the Digital Humanities Seminar, was a team member on the Digital Humanities in the Indian Rim Project (2019-2022) and collaborates with Professor Simon Burrows on a range of book history projects.

Dr Falk has published widely on AI, Digital Humanities, Eighteenth-Century Literature and Australian Literature. His first monograph, Romanticism and the Contingent Self, will appear in 2023 with Palgrave Macmillan.
