Teach. Manage. Lead.

A Master of Education (Social Ecology) offers lifelong learning for personal meaning and social effectiveness in a changing work environment. This degree gives you the professional and personal skills you need to take your interests further, through a combination of on-campus intensives and online learning.

Key themes include social-ecological understanding, transformative learning, applied imagination, environmental education and advocacy, community action, eco-psychology and cultural change, decolonising perspectives for social justice, and researching for sustainable futures.

Develop skills in social-ecological understanding, critical thinking, leadership, creativity and communication and apply these to your workplace and/or community.

Flexible study options

A four-day intensive teaching session is held in January and July each year, with an additional mid-semester one-day workshop. With support from staff, you can then complete further study online, at a time that suits you.
