Cardiac sonography at Western

This program provides graduate entry training in cardiac sonography (echocardiography). From the first year of study our students spend extensive time within clinical environments, where you will develop essential skills such as image acquisition and measurement and interpretation. Through our comprehensive learning framework including real-world experience, our students develop the necessary analytical and theoretical skills to draw conclusions and produce reports. The Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Sonography will provide you with the confidence and skills to perform professionally as a Cardiac Sonographer, through continual professional development (CPD) and exposure to advanced and leading edge imaging technologies throughout the program. This includes fostering strong communication skills, which are essential when working closely with colleagues and patients in a professional environment. On successful completion of this program, graduates will be eligible for registration by the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry.
