Accounting at Western
If your ambition is to pursue a successful career in accounting, this postgraduate degree is your first step towards obtaining professional recognition in this field. It is designed to give you the required entry criteria to pursue a Master of Accountancy or Master of Professional Accounting.
To apply, you require either an undergraduate degree (or higher) in any discipline, an Associate Degree in a business discipline, an Advanced Diploma in Business plus five years’ work experience in a related field, or three years full-time managerial or professional experience in a related field.
If you have an overseas accounting degree, you will need to have your degree assessed by a professional accounting body before applying.
Core subjects include Introductory Accounting, Commercial Law and Management Accounting. Other subjects from which you can choose include Corporate Finance, Economics, and Information Systems for Accountants, Company Law, Company Accounting, Auditing, and Accounting Theory and Applications.

*The tuition fees quoted above are the fees for the normal full-time study load of the program (80 credit points) per annum. International students will be subject to a variable fee regime; i.e. enrolled students will be required to pay fees during their program based on the approved fee for each calendar year.
