HSC True Reward
We know HSC can be a stressful time, and sometimes even the best, most prepared students suffer from test stress and exam pressure. That’s why we created our HSC True Reward program. This unique program can offer students at Western, based on your HSC subject results, before you receive your ATAR. After all, we know students are made up of more than just their ATAR score.
The Western Sydney University Advantage
As part of our commitment to creating opportunities for as many students as possible to study at university, we are offering your year 12 students the Western Sydney University Advantage, a program that provides numerous ways to boost results, gain early entry into Western Sydney University degrees and transform the tertiary education learning experience.
The Western Sydney Advantage provides many admission advantages including HSC True Reward and Adjustment Factors (Bonus Points) schemes.
All students living or studying in the Greater Western Sydney region, who qualify for an ATAR or IB Diploma, will automatically receive five Adjustment Factors, or points added to their ATAR, when they apply to do a course at Western Sydney University. Please refer to Regional Adjustment Factors for more information.
As a way of rewarding outstanding performance in a nominated range of HSC or IB subjects, students may be offered up to 10 Adjustment Factors, or points added to their ATAR for their achievements in those subjects. Students can search by Western Sydney University Course or by HSC Subject to find out what they could be eligible for. Please see Subject Adjustment Factors for more information.
As an elite athlete-friendly university, Western Sydney University welcomes applications for the Elite Athletes or Performers Scheme. Students who have been disadvantaged by performance at a state or national level are given the opportunity to gain further Adjustment Factors. Visit the Elite Athlete and Performer Bonus Scheme webpage to find out more.
Students whose educational performance has been seriously affected by forces beyond their control during Year 11 and/or Year 12, or equivalent, are able to apply for EAS Adjustment Factors. For further information about EAS, please contact us on 1300 668 370.
If you’re a Year 12 student completing your HSC or IB, and you’re applying through UAC, the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) gives you a chance to receive an early offer based on your performance in Year 11 and your school’s recommendation.
We recognise that ADF members have unique skills and may have differences in study, experience, and degrees. To ensure you are recognised for your service, you can receive five bonus points on your application.
For more information, see our Australian Defence Force Scheme.
