What is the Harvey Norman Young Women’s Leadership Academy program about?

The Harvey Norman Young Women’s Leadership Academy is born from a desire to support the Auburn community. The program was established to empower the young women of Auburn to develop their sense of agency and leadership capacity whilst contributing to their successful educational, career and life outcomes.

Funded by a generous philanthropic donation from Katie Page, CEO of Harvey Norman, through Western Sydney University, this program is designed to help Auburn Girls High School students build confidence, leadership capacity, and resilience for their educational, career, and life journeys.

  • Family and community engagement: Information sessions and opportunities for parents and families to connect with and contribute to the program’s success.
  • Learning grants and university scholarships: Financial support to help students with education costs throughout high school and into university studies at Western Sydney University.
  • Research and impact framework: A dedicated research component, led by the Centre for Western Sydney team, to capture insights and share best practices for empowering young women in their personal, career, and leadership journeys.
